Welcome to a trip of the lifetime!  This is an 11-day voyage, designed for you to experience Mother Africa, first hand, up close, and in person.  The itinerary is full of tours and events, designed for you to immerse and embrace the African culture.  Bring an adventurous, open-minded palate because you are for sure to taste things that you probably would have never imagined.  Your adrenaline will be rushing as we enter the bush on an African safari, searching for some of the most exotic animals, in their natural element.  You don’t want to miss this opportunity, to truly live life, enjoy life, and travel the continent where evolution began, AFRICA!

Day 1 – November 29, 2021

Ngiyakwemukela! (Welcome to Africa!) You’ve finally made it!   Upon arrival, your personal chauffeur, provided by A.D. Elite Travels, will greet you at the airport, and transport you to our eclectic, boutique accommodation at Hallmark House located in the chic, artistic neighborhood of Maboneng.  After check-in, take some time to relax before our welcome dinner.  During the dinner, you’ll get to introduce yourself and meet everyone that will be partaking in this amazing experience with us over the next 11 days.

DAY 2 – November 30, 2021

Hopefully, your first night’s sleep in Africa was relaxing.  Wake up and have breakfast at your leisure, as some of you may be jet lagged and not quite acclimated to the time difference.  At 1pm, the fun begins, as we begin this cultural experience learning about South Africa’s second largest city, Johannesburg.

DAY 3 – December 1, 2021

Rise and shine, today is our first full day of touring.  We’ll be visiting Soweto, the largest black city in Africa in the 1930s.  During the Apartheid, the South African government started separating Blacks from Whites, creating black “townships.”  Majority of the black population was forced to relocate to Soweto, including Nelson Mandela.  Following our tour of Soweto, we’ll visit the Apartheid Museum to learn more about this dark period in South African history.

DAY 4 – December 2, 2021

Today, we’ll be visiting the Lesedi Cultural Village.  The Lesedi Cultural Village is a tourist village which celebrates the cultural traditions of several different tribes of South Africa.  Afterwards, you’ll have free time to do some souvenir shopping and walk around the vibrant suburb of Melrose.

DAY 5 – December 3, 2021

I hope you’ve thoroughly enjoyed your time in Johannesburg.  Check-out time is 11am.  Our driver we’ll be awaiting, be sure to dress comfortably, as our ride time is approximately 5 hours.  Off to the bush we go!  Upon arrival, we’ll be greeted by our awesome hosts at Lindiwe Safari Lodge.

DAY 6 – December 4, 2021

IT’S SAFARI TIME!  Meet up time will be between 5-5:30AM, as the sun rises very early, and animals are quite active during the early morning.  Our lodge will provide you with breakfast-on-the-go, we’ll board the safari jeep, and head to Kruger National Park; the largest game reserve in Africa.  See if you can spot the BIG 5(lion, leopard, rhino, water buffalo, elephant).

DAY 7 – December 5, 2021

Today will be a relaxing day for you to enjoy Lindiwe Safari Lodge.  The lodge offers relaxing massages, or you may want to take an exhilarating electric scooter ride through the lodge grounds to witness zebras, giraffes, kudu, warthog, and much more.

DAY 8 – December 6, 2021

Dress comfortably today as we begin our 5-hour journey back to Johannesburg to board our flight to Cape Town.  Upon arriving, we’ll be greeted by our guide, who will transport us to our hotel accommodations at Radisson RED V&A Waterfront, Cape Town.  The remainder of the evening will be yours to relax or walk around the Victoria & Alfred Waterfront, where you’ll find tons of amazing restaurants and bars.

DAY 9 – December 7, 2021

Enjoy a delectable breakfast, provided by the hotel.   Following breakfast, we’ll be going on a Cape Town City Tour, followed by a trip to Table Mountain; one of the new seven world wonders.

DAY 10 – December 8, 2021

On our second day in Cape Town, we’ll be visiting Robben Island, the location former South African president Nelson Mandela was jailed for 18 of his 27 years during the Apartheid.  Afterwards, we’ll visit Greenmarket Square, an historic, vibrant square full of street vendors.  This is an excellent place to buy those last-minute souvenirs before heading home.  To end the night, we’ll be having our farewell dinner to say our goodbyes and recap this amazing journey.

DAY 11 – December 9, 2021

Goodbyes are always hard.  I hope everyone has thoroughly enjoyed this journey throughout South Africa.  If you have a late flight, I suggest visiting the vineyards(Stellenbosch) or relaxing on the beach.
